Terms of Service

These terms apply when you buy services from CreateDiscordBot, which is run by Adluelno AB, registered office Huddinge, Sweden, org. no. 559238-4340, VAT no. SE559238434001. In these terms "I", "me" and "we" mean that company, and "you" means the customer. A written quote or spec that we both accept is part of the agreement and wins if it conflicts with these terms.

1. What I sell

• Custom bot builds (Starter, Community and Platform bots) built to a written scope.
• Bot Rescue: diagnosis and repair of one existing bot for a fixed fee.
• Bot Blueprint: a call and a written specification with a fixed quote.
• Care plans: hosting, monitoring, updates and small changes, billed monthly.
• Change work at $90 an hour in prepaid 5-hour blocks.

Current prices are on the pricing page. The price in your accepted quote is the one that applies.

2. Quotes and scope

A quote is valid for 30 days. Builds are delivered against the scope and acceptance checklist in the quote or spec. Anything outside that scope, including new ideas during the build, is quoted separately and only done after you approve it in writing.

3. Payment

• Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT. Customers in Sweden and private customers elsewhere in the EU pay 25% Swedish VAT on top. EU businesses with a valid VAT number are invoiced under the reverse charge. Quotes to private customers state the total including VAT.
• Bot Rescue and Bot Blueprint are paid in advance.
• Builds: 50% when you accept the quote, 50% when you accept the delivery. Platform builds may be billed per milestone as set out in the quote.
• Care plans are billed monthly in advance.
• Invoices are due within 14 days unless the invoice says otherwise. Work may pause while an invoice is overdue.

4. Delivery and acceptance

You get access to the bot in a test server before launch. You have 7 days from delivery to report anything that doesn't meet the acceptance checklist. I fix those items and you test again. The delivery counts as accepted when you confirm it, or when 7 days pass without a reported defect, or when you put the bot into regular use.

5. Ownership

Once the build is paid in full, you own the custom code written for you and can use, change and host it as you like. I keep the right to reuse general techniques, and any tools or libraries I made before your project, which you get a free, permanent licence to use as part of your bot. Open-source libraries stay under their own licences. The bot runs on a Discord application that you own.

6. Your responsibilities

• You own and control the Discord application and bot token, and you keep them secure.
• You make sure the bot's use follows Discord's Terms of Service and Developer Policy, and the laws that apply to your community.
• You give me the access and information needed in reasonable time. Delays on your side move the delivery date.
• You are responsible for the content your members and staff create with the bot.

7. What I won't build

I don't build selfbots, fake members or activity, vote manipulation, gambling bots, tools that copy content from servers you don't own, or anything else that breaks Discord's rules or the law. I can end an engagement that turns out to need any of these, and refund work not yet done.

8. Fixes and warranty

Bugs in the delivered scope are fixed free of charge for 30 days after launch. After that, fixes are covered by a Care plan or billed as change work. Discord and third-party services change their platforms without notice; keeping a bot compatible with those changes is part of Care, not the original build.

If you buy as a consumer, you also have the rights the law gives you, including liability for defects that existed at delivery. The 30-day fix promise and Care plans come on top of those rights and don't replace them.

9. Care plans

Care plans run month to month and renew automatically each month until you cancel. Every build includes its first month of Care; after that month the plan continues at the price in your quote unless you tell me before the month ends that you don't want it. To cancel, reply to any Care invoice email or email hello@creatediscordbot.com or use the brief form; you get a written confirmation, and the plan ends at the end of the paid month. If a Care invoice is unpaid for 30 days, hosting may be suspended after a written reminder. When a plan ends you get the code, the data I hold for the bot and a handoff document so it can run elsewhere.

10. Data I process for you

When I host, maintain or repair a bot that handles personal data for your community (Care plans, including the month included with a build, and Bot Rescue), I process that data as your processor under the GDPR, and this section is our processing agreement:

• I process the data only on your documented instructions, which are the spec and your written requests.
• Anyone who works on it is bound by confidentiality.
• I keep it secure: access limited to what the work needs, credentials stored encrypted, and backups kept by the hosting provider.
• I use sub-processors only for hosting, backups and code storage. I name them in the quote and tell you before changing them, and you can object.
• I help you answer requests from the people whose data it is, and tell you without undue delay if I become aware of a personal data breach.
• When the service ends, I return the data to you and delete my copies, unless the law requires me to keep them.
• I give you the information you need to check that these rules are followed.

11. Cancelling a build

You can cancel a build at any time. You pay for the work done up to that point, and any payment above that is refunded. See the refund policy for details, including the rules for consumers in the EU.

12. Liability

I'm not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit, lost members or lost data outside my control, or for outages of Discord, hosting providers or other third parties. My total liability for a project is limited to what you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

13. Confidentiality

I keep your server details, credentials and business information confidential and use them only for your project. I only name you as a client, or share details that could identify you, with your permission. I may describe the general technical work, for example "a ticket bot for a tournament organiser", without naming you.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes go to the courts of Sweden, unless the law of your country gives you, as a consumer, the right to use your local courts. 15. Changes

I may update these terms. The version that applied when you accepted your quote keeps applying to that project.
